Being Positive

When I last blogged about positivity I mentioned how difficult it is to change your mindset at first, to constantly have the positive thoughts and attitudes. In reality it took us about a month or 5 weeks to really get into it but one thing I have noticed that prohibits maintaining this new outlook is those around you.

Whether it is coworkers, family members or those people you run into casually they all can change your attitude and thoughts from positive to negative with relative ease. Remember, being 5 or 6 weeks into this new outlook and behavior is easily wrecked or at least temporarily derailed by what has always been the norm and let’s face it, most people behave in that negative is norm mode. You know all of the signs and words, they are all over the place; I feel crummy, I don’t feel so good, everybody is out to cheat me, nobody cares, nobody gets anything for free, this sucks, nothing is going right, I have a right to be down, etc. etc. etc

Well, you are right, you do have the right to be down and you do have the right to feel like nothing is going right and you do have the right to feel like nobody gets anything for nothing, etc, etc, etc BUT you also have the right to feel like everything is going right and the right to feel good and the right to feel you can get something just by believing that you can ask and you shall receive but first you have to believe. If you don’t believe, it won’t happen and you won’t feel better and things won’t go right and you will be right back where you were.

I myself had been thinking of something I wanted to change very much, and this past weekend I was seeing it happen, feeling the good feelings of what was coming and later that day when it was offered to me I replied with a negative comment that reflected what I had come to expect, that something would happen to keep the good thing from happening and you know what? My negative thought did exactly that, it completely killed the chance of what I had been positively seeing and feeling as ready to happen. I, by my own negativity, destroyed that positivity I had been manifesting. We can be and usually are our own worst enemies. What we have to do is become our best friends, our best supporters, our best, most positive beings we can be. Then we can feel and embrace the manifestations we are feeling and creating for ourselves.

So, what do you do when you are around negative influences? Ignore them? Put forth your positivity? Avoid being around them? Be a positive example? This is where, especially in the beginning before all of this new found thinking is second nature, where you have to consciously make the choices and be aware of these influences on you. If this is someone you don’t have to be with, then by all means leave, their negativity puts you in negative environment which can do you no good.

Yesterday I was talking to a contact person at one of the facilities I call on a regular basis, this lady has married a relative of the business owners and now the behind the back comments are making their way back to her about being a gold digger, stuff like that. When I told keepers they said they hoped I had suggested she ignore these people or better yet, let them know exactly how happy she is now and how wonderful her new marriage is, in other words be happy and positive in the face of the negativity and she is right.

We must maintain our new way of thinking to bring about the prosperarity! Positivity brings prosperarity, negativity does not. No one said this would be easy, only that it would change your life, but only if you let it and truly want it, want it enough to change how you think, how you feel, how you feel. The world is yours, all you have to do is truly believe.

whatever works for you!!! doesn't sound half bad to me either. the main thing is to be positive in your attitudes and feelings no matter what is put before you, only then will positive changes take place in your life. positive attracts positive and negative draws negative thus the rich get richer and the poor get poorer not just in material things but emotional and mental as well.

peace and blessings to you

umm it is hard sometimes to keep the positive up when you know the bad things will happen but i do have a habbit of trying very hard to see the silver lining in the clouds ya know? from all the bad there is always some good that will come of it.

one of the theories behind this is what is called the Law of Attraction and that is that what you envision, what you expect is what you get. That provides the same old routine for those in a rut. Goes along with the rich get richer and poor get poorer but it is true. People who go from poor to well off or rich didn't get there by believing they would always be poor! It came about by believing they would get more and have more and it happened, because they believed. Doubt and not believing is our enemy, to change things we have to change how we think and how we believe. It is not easy to do but it is the only way things will change.
